Europe can be comprehended outside its interaction with other cultures. Europe is a fragmented space that always strives toward some form of integration. There is a profound, non-negotiable need for communication with the world. Galway City Library will present an evening of Finnish poetry and music. At any stage of the evening, audience members may read aloud a Finnish poem or paragraph, which has been translated into English. The translated poems will be available in the library in advance. Please join us. The evening will be facilitated by the Philadelphian born poet and writer Susan Millar DuMars.
