Congratulations to Galway-based writer Alan McMonagle who has just been awarded a Literature Bursary by the Arts Council.Alan is originally from Longford but now lives in Galway City. He writes both fiction and poetry. He recently completed an MA in Writing at NUI Galway. He was a Featured Reader at the March 2007 Over The Edge: Open Reading in Galway City Library.
